Beck centerThe Cornell School of Hotel Administration is shaping the global knowledge base for hospitality management through world-class education and research. Founded in 1922 as the first collegiate course of study in hospitality management, this Ivy League institution has the largest full-time faculty, the most extensive curriculum, and the most complete facilities in hospitality management education.

Our 53 full-time faculty members, including 40 Ph.D.s, are recognized as leaders in applying their areas of discipline to the hospitality industry. Our faculty is also actively engaged with industry, providing research, executive education, and consulting expertise to hospitality companies around the world. It is through this broad commitment to teaching, research and industry service that the Hotel School has become known as the 'think tank' for the $4 trillion hospitality industry.

Undergraduate and Graduate Education - Our faculty teaches a broad curriculum that spans 140 courses covering eleven major fields of study. The Cornell Hotel School is home to 800 undergraduates from 42 countries and 120 graduate students pursuing master's and Ph.D. degrees. Each year 250 industry leaders visit the School to lecture, confer, and offer guidance to our students. Our Career Services Office maintains close relations with industry and works to match the hiring needs of corporations with the career aspirations of graduates. As part of that program, each year more than 100 hospitality companies recruit our students for full-time and summer employment.

Executive and Professional Education - Each year the Cornell Hotel School provides executive education for more than 1,300 industry professionals. Hospitality managers and executives from 90 countries choose courses that enhance their knowledge and careers at sessions held on campus and at locations worldwide. On-line courses are available anytime, anywhere.

Center for Hospitality Research- Created in 1992, The Center for Hospitality Research (CHR) unites scholars and industry professionals in research that generates important advances in industry practices. Our team facilitates and conducts peer-reviewed studies, makes research findings widely available, and helps create the global knowledge base for hospitality management.

Statler Hotel and Conference Center - The 150-room Statler Hotel and Conference Center provides comfort and convenience at the center of Cornell, as well as an ideal teaching facility. Hotel School students put their classroom learning to practical use, teaming with veteran employees to run an outstanding hotel known for its gracious accommodations and superb conference facilities.
